The BIC Family

Family is a wonderful thing! We try to celebrate it and focus on it here at Wainfleet BIC all year round. It's also good to know that we are part of a wider "family" - The Brethren In Christ. We are not the only family in God's kingdom nor are we better or worse than any of Jesus' other family's (denominations). Yet - I love this family and I am glad to have been adopted in to the BIC. General Conference in Richmond Hill recently was a chance to celebrate being part of the BIC Family and rejoice and strategize about the unique things God has for our family to be about. Wainfleet BIC people played a vital role in making the conference happen and Warren Hoffman (our moderator) called after the conference to pass on his appreciation for all the support Wainfleet gave.

It was a great blessing as well to have Jay Smith here to speak on June 29th and I really enjoyed the chance to visit with him as we traveled to and from General Conference. Keep praying for Jay in his important work with Muslims. You can visit his work on the web at debate.org.uk

Through July and early August we intentionally slow the pace of our church life and activities so we can rest and regroup for a new season of ministry. I hope you'll take some time to let God re-fresh you this summer. Our summer teaching is "Really Great Stories". Join us when you're not away on vacation.
